Depending on the overall goals and aspirations of the student; we provide a coach of your choosing to personalize a lesson plan designed specifically for your needs. Concepts and principals taught in group lesson may also be translated into a one-on-one lesson plan to ensure success. Students' performance will be consistently evaluated using an ELO strength system; in combination additional lesson material such as quizzes and daily/tactical puzzles will be included. So, what's in it for my student? For one-on-one private lessons, they are fundamental to improving the skill level of a chess player. A majority of today's Chess Masters took one on one lessons at one point to get to the skill level there are at now. Private lessons are the most traditional learning method and a great way to find where and how you can improve. Lessons are available for young adults and children of all levels, beginners to masters. What does your child receive if enrolled in Private Lessons? -Chess Current Events Overview / Game of the Day. -Red Lion Chess provides All Boards and Pieces for Gameplay -End of Session "Report Card" for progress for Parents and Lesson Plans. -Coach Analyzing of Dynamic Games from Year 1400 till Modern Day. -Display shown of Chess Kid Electronic or Demo Boards. The 60 Minute Time Breakdown for Each Session as Follows: 15 Minutes of Game of the Day/Theme Lesson Overview 45 Minutes of Personalized Coaching to ensure Retention of Material We use chess software systems such as electronic boards and timers through Chess.com or Lichess.org. In addition, participants are able to play against computers or each other through ChessKid.com, a child-friendly chess website. Chess-Kid measures and tracks the progress of your students, using report cards, lesson progress trackers and other tools. With these tools, measuring and assessing your students' progress is a breeze.
